Aadhaar Pay is the merchant-acceptance counterpart of AEPS and falls under the same RBI AePS due-diligence directive. Key points for retailers:

Mandatory biometric authentication (fingerprint/iris) for every transaction, verified against UIDAI records.

Daily limits mirror AEPS caps — bank-set within the RBI framework of â‚¹25,000/day withdrawal-equivalent transactions.

Certified device required: merchant must use a UIDAI-certified (STQC) biometric scanner.

48-hour fraud reporting window for any suspected identity or transaction fraud.
